Link Building Tip #4 Exchanges

Link Building Tip #4 Exchanges for Links
Find websites you wish to have your link on and ask them for a link exchange. Seems simple, but maybe it is a high traffic website and you are having no luck with getting them to exchange. Try something different, offer them something of value for that link. Maybe you can right an article or a review for them? Give them text content that is useful to them. Other things you can offer, graphics, hosting, templates, or coding. What are you excellent at? Offer them something that you can do, it can work out to be the perfect exchange for both you and them.

Link Building Tip #3 Competitors Backlinks

Link Building Tip #3 Use Your Competitors Backlinks
Find out what sites are linking to your competitors and try to get links from those places as well. Aaron Wall of SEO Book has came up with an excellent tool to help you find out all the information you want! It is also handy for finding out about your own backlinks!

The tool also allows you to download some of the information in CSV format! The button will appear at the top of the results page next to my logo. The backlink tool gives you information like how many class c’s are linked to that domain, how many com’s, edu’s, org’s, ect. as well as IP and much more.

I have added the backlink tool to this website, feel free to use my mirror of the tool.

Link Building Tip #2 Multiple Anchor Text

Link Building Tip #2 Use Multiple Anchor Text
When building links or requesting others to link to you, it is better to use multiple anchor text. Anchor text is the text you give the person to use to link to you with. This is my anchor text.

For those sites that ask others to link to you, like link lists or TGP’s. It is a good idea to give them multiple anchor text to choose from. But I wouldn’t stop there, it isn’t a bad idea to swap those out once a month or more, depending how many links per day you are getting.

Link Building Tip #1 High PR Links

Link Building Tips
Okay since I got a little more into link building in the last couple articles, I thought I would go on to doing some Link Building Tips. Just link building tips. I think I could do a tip a day for 2 months easily. So here is the first one.

Link Building Tip 1
Finding High PR websites to do link exchanges or submissions to. Does anyone know the best place to find these types of websites? Do you think you need some software to dig out these truely hard to find jems?

Well put away your cash, unless you want to send it to me (I take paypal, visa, mastercard, american express and soon to add checks)…okay here it is…the best place to find High PR websites to trade links with:

http://directory.google.com/

Google Directory is a wonderful place to find those high PR websites to trade links with, really it is amazing, they even categorize the links for you. You can find themes that work well with your website. And do you believe that the webmaster that built that website picked the theme they are categorized in? So when you go to their site it should be a pretty relevant link trade.

They even have an Adult section:
http://www.google.com/Top/Adult?tc=1/

How perfect is that? Now only 59 more days of tips to go :)

Basic Linking Building

Basic SEO Linking Building
Find sites to submit your website to or trade links with. There are many ways to find link trades or websites to submit to. Some are webmaster boards, friends, search engines and directories.

Search Engines are a great place to find sites you can request a trade with or submit to. Try searching for the keyword your site is themed for, like add url+keyword, or submit link+keyword, etc.

Directories are an excellent source to find sites that are in the same niche as your own. Try contacting the owner to get a link trade going.

Create a List
Whenever you do any research for link building, create a list of the sites you find. You have spent valuable time finding these sites; this is time you can save later.

You can create this list in Excel, html or Word. Whatever program you feel comfortable using. I do prefer Excel because I can add notes easily and add new tabs for different niches or unique sites I find.

Filter Your Link Building List
Okay; now I know you are thinking, what the hell is she talking about? Filter my list? Filter it for what? Well filter it for IP’s is the first step. Use IP Report to find out if your list has separate Class C IP’s. IP Report is free to use, and you can find duplicate IP’s easily. There are other ways I’m sure but this site is the one I use.

Organize Your Link Building List
Once you have gone through your list, you can move some trades or links with the same class C IP to the bottom of your list. Why to the bottom? Well this time you probably won’t submit to them, but for another site later on you might use them.

Prioritize your list, submit to all the places that are on different class C IP’s first. Submit to any that you know you will get traffic from as well.

Save Your Link Building List
This list is a time saving tool for you in the future, so save it! Good luck with building your own valuable link building list.

Tips:

Check out the site that you are asking for links from. Make sure they aren’t using any type of script on their links. Directories or top lists that track clicks are usually not worth the time if you are looking for links for SEO purposes. Also, sites that are scripts that spiders can’t index won’t be great for link building purposes. A link with many variables like: http://site.com/script.cgi?variable=this&varaible=that&page=thisone&site=thatone probably isn’t getting indexed so a link on that page to your site probably isn’t going to help you much.

Anchor text for links you are building (you know the external links, the ones that you are getting to link to your site).

Mix the anchor text up! I don’t know how many times a person has asked me why they are sandboxed or how come they have 1,000’s of links to their site but are still on page 10 on Google. My first question to them is usually, “what text are you using in the links to you?” They usually say their keyword phrase. I tell them to vary that, they tell me, “No I heard to use that.” I tell them to vary that. They tell me they don’t think that is it. Then 3-4 weeks later they are still not sure what the problem is. I tell them the same thing I said before. They finally give that a try, and their rankings start to rise. Example, if you are going for Adult Toys, instead of building all your links with the term “adult toys” try varying that with Adult Toy Store, Adult Toy Stores, Sex Toys, Adult Sex Toys, Sex Toy Store, AdultToys, SexToys, etc. (another hint, easy rankings are usually misspelled words and phrases with no spaces!) I usually do 50-60% for my main keyword and vary the other 40-50%.

Internal Link Structure

SEO the Internal Link Structure
We have already gone over some basic internal linking in the content optimization. One thing to remember is to always link back to the main page of your website. Decide whether that page is your entry page or the page they go to if they click enter. Always link back to the page you pick.

Site Map
Create a sitemap and keep it updated. Link to every section and page you put on your domain. If you just build galleries everyday and don’t mess with AVS sites or free sites, making a sitemap and linking to your own galleries, plus listing them again after the warning page, should keep your galleries indexed. Also a blog could be a wonderful way to present your own galleries daily and keep them indexed.

Tips:
Don’t use keywords in your links for the page your building, use keywords for what the link is going to! If your main page theme is general porn, but the thumb or link is about blowjobs, use blowjob keywords.

Try other maps of your website!

Product Map
If you sell products, then make a product map for your site as well. Link to any pages you build that are just for the products. Also, link to the buy pages. So you have a link directly to your page, but then have a “buy product now” link as well. Buy pages can be either your own store buy page if you own the store or, to the sponsors buy page. If someone is looking for a jackrabbit vibrator and lands on your product map, why not try to send them directly to the page they can buy from. (Hint: try using keywords that would match someone wanting to buy! Example: buy jackrabbit vibrator (as your anchor text). Someone searching for “buy jack rabbit vibrator” is ready to buy now! Someone searching for jack rabbit vibrator may just want to see what it looks like. Sometimes terms less searched for are not only easier to rank for, but convert much better!

Niche Map
If you have several niches on your domain. Make a map of all your niches, link to each niche. You can even have separate niche maps if you have too many. Link to every map you build on all your pages. Link back to the main index from all pages. If your site is small and you can link to every page on every page, then do it. Thinking of it as showing the most unfamiliar surfer how to get around your site. You know, the one that thinks email@emailsite.com is a website or a link is the blue words that they can click. If they can find it, then a bot can too (assuming you are not using a script that bots can’t index).

Basic Content Optimization

First you will want to come up with a design for your site. Preferably something that shows some sexy content but has room for text content. A good way for beginners to start is to make a simple header image for the top of the page. The name of the site and maybe a picture of a sexy girl (or guy, depending on the niche). Place this on the page and use the rest of the page for text, links, some ads and maybe some thumbs.

Now that was pretty simple. Before you go any further, put a link on the bottom of the page. This link should be Keyword Phrase Home or just Keyword Phrase (this is called “anchor text”). Link that to the index page (or main page) of your site. Also, link the header image you just made to the index (or main page). Put in the alt tag…alt=keyword phrase. The top and bottom link text should not be the same phrase. Similar is fine. Examples: GFY, Go Fuck Yourself, GoFuckYourself, GoFuckYourSelf.com, Go Fuck Yourself Adult Webmaster Forum, Go Fuck Yourself Board, Go Fuck Yourself Porn Webmaster Board…Mix your keywords in your internal link structure with alt tags on images and anchor text. (Remember to do this when link building as well). The internal links I usually use 2-3 different phrases throughout my sites.

Header Text
Once you have the layout done, you can start laying out header text. Put keyword descriptions as Header Text 1 (set as H1 in the font settings) maybe right under your header image. Next put Header Text 2 (set as H2 in the font settings) in a text or picture area. Finally put Header Text 3 (set as H3 in the font settings) in the ad box on the side and ad box on the bottom of the page or other areas in your layout. Now if you don’t like the big text (which I don’t) you can pick a font and a smaller font size for these. CSS is nice for this as well .

Meta Tags
Place your Meta tags in the top of the page, just under the html tag. These will be your basic tags Title, Description and keywords. Some SE’s do not use the description tag all the time, but they do at times. Keyword Meta tags can be important with some engines, but not as much in the Major SE’s. But why deny any SE traffic you can get by excluding them? Many times just putting them in can help you focus your content to what keywords you are targeting. I usually do 4-8 keywords.

Yahoo does love Title Tags, and does support, I believe, up to 120 characters in the Title tag. Many times if you are on page 2 with Yahoo, just adjusting the Title tag can push you up to page 1.

Page Content
Many already optimize the image content on their pages, this is a good. Load time can affect your rankings just like many other factors. By page content, I’m talking primarily about text. Include text descriptions of what your site is about. Make sure you use your keywords in the text.

Example (sticking with some keywords like Site Name, porn board, adult forum, porn forum, adult forum, webmaster forum, etc):
Go Fuck Yourself is the largest Adult Webmaster Forum. Stop by our popular porn board to learn more about building adult websites. At GoFuckYourself.com you will find the hardest working porn pimps bashing each other as well as helping one another. This paragraph has many good keywords in text content that makes sense to the reader. Some of the keywords were adult, webmaster, porn, board, forum, go fuck yourself, gofuckyourself.com, pimps and websites.

Tips:
Include text in your page content! Many times I see wonderful websites that are very appealing, have wonderful internal link structures, but lack text content. Try writing a little more about what you are selling. By selling I don’t mean selling sponsor’s sites, let them do that. Sell your site. If your website is about porn, but different niches or categories, then sell each area of your site by simply explaining what a surfer will find when they click from your main page to your sub page. If you use many thumbs on your page, try using only 3-6 and add text with the thumb explaining to surfers what they will see if they click the thumb. Put anchor text in the descriptions. (Anchor text remember is the keyword text with a link to where they are going to go if they click).

Diagnosed with RA, Getting Better..time to blog!

I’m Back
Well if you haven’t noticed, it has been awhile, I have been sick. More like a Semi Truck ran over me several times…diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I’m getting better, new drugs…not fun ones (uhm if there are fun ones..) but hey they do work. Methotrexate…I get to take it once a week, makes me sick the next day but I can still function that day and the rest of the week. Actually more like a cocktail of that with steriods and folic acid….

I have been playing catch up on many things in the last month and working on our new SEO Hosting with multiple class C’s. And now it is time to start blogging again.

Tutorials Coming
I know many have asked for more tutorials, I hope to add more coming in June. Anyone know where I left off or want one on something specific, let me know :)

Yahoo does Huge Update

Yahoo Update
Yahoo released their newest update and even announced it in their blog.
So far I have seen some really nice results for some major terms I have been working on. How are they doing for you?

Yahoo also announced in that blog that they would be announcing their new index releases as a “weather report". I think that is a pretty smart move for grabbing webmasters attention away from Google.

Feel free to stop by the Yahoo forum and let us know what you think about Yahoo’s new index and/or their new strategies to build their “brand".

Video Search Engine Optimization

Do you optimize your movies for search engines?
We do know search engines do check for information on movies when they rank them in search engines. If I remember right, AOL has done this for around 2 years or more.

Now with search engines coming out with video search, like Yahoo. It is a good way to get traffic to your sites. Now it has been awhile since I worked with movie content. But I do remember that when I cut movies down to 10-30 second clips that there are fields you can fill out about the movie.

If I remember right the fields were title, author and a couple others. Keywords may be one, or I may be thinking PDF files. These are your tags. These are the fields you should take the time to fill out. Just taking that time could give you the jump on your competition.

I had some papers on this from a search engine conference in 2003, I will see if I can dig it up.

Pre Sale Pages

SEO Pre Sale Pages
The other night I was discussing Pre Sale Pages with Aaron Wall from SEO Book. They have been around for awhile. Are they better than just a link? I think so, I have used them on many sites.

It is common in affiliate marketing for affiliates to host pages on their sites which warm up prospective clients prior to selling supplies on another site. If done correctly pre sell pages can have a positive effect on both conversion and SEO.

Google Cloaking? Are they playing down now?

Threadwatch has a discussion going about Google Cloaking their adwords page. You can’t do it but maybe they are.

A short while ago, Threadwatch member Adam_C discovered what for all appearances seems to be Google pulling dirty SEO tactics on it’s own pages and thus going against it’s own guidelines in an effort to rank highly within it’s own results.

Cloaking
Cloaking is covered in Google’s guidelines as something strictly not to do:

Full post here:
http://www.threadwatch.org/node/1774

Have they been caught? Are they trying to cover it up now? They are denying it now at BetaNews.
So do you think Google does use cloaking? Feel free to comment here.

Yahoo Celebrates 10 Years

Yahoo Celebration
Yahoo started back in 1995 is celebrating 10 years. Their recent blog tells you how they started.

I bought a fast Pentium running shiny new Windows 95. I got ISDN. I downloaded each new beta browser. In early 1996, I was hired to build a directory of web sites for one of Yahoo!’s now vanished competitors. I stepped into the fast-moving current, riding wave after wave of discovery, gathering a daily catch of tools and trinkets: image maps, javascripts, dancing widgets, canonical lists of nearly everything. I was getting paid to websurf!

MSN Found

MSN Found
MSN started MSN Found to market their new search engine. They posted in their blog that they believe people are taking the site too serious.

The campaign is simply meant to be an alternative way to entertain people and let them know about MSN Search. The pages aren’t supposed to be “blogs? but are character pages – this is a fictional search “opera,? told through a narrative of the characters.

Full MSN Found blog post here.

HyperOrg
It looks like HyperOrg thinks it is a pretty piss poor marketing tactic.

The main page, MSNFound, aggregates six phony blogs supposedly written by a demographically-appealing set of people. The individual blogs are one-entry and not very interesting. In fact, they are interest-averse, as so much marketing is. For example, the one by the so-called conspiracy theorist has a small banner about the “Enron/Afghanistan connection,” but it’s not linked to anything.

Interesting…..not only that they are looking for feedback, but because of their recent search for Quality Raters to help with search quality evaluation.

Who knows, maybe the new MSN Search is looking so good to so many that Google is starting to worry about their results.

Host Crowding - Multiple Class C IP Solutions

Host Crowding
In an earlier article on SEO Theories and Fact I went over how Google filters some websites based on host crowding. We know host crowding is a fact. It is stated in Google’s own FAQ’s about their API. You can read about the Automatic Filtering they do here:
http://www.google.com/apis/reference.html#2_3

Now, because they don’t exactly say how they filter for Host Crowding. We can only go with different theories.

SEO Theories on Host Crowding Filter
Some theories are they filter by Class C IP (this is the most popular one). Some are they do it by whois. Another is they do it by nameservers. Some even say by all of them.

Static IP
From my own experiences with Google and their host crowding filter from years ago, it seemed like they did it by IP. So if you shared an IP, all you had to do is get a new static IP for each domain. For the past year, this has not been enough.

I believe they filter somehow by class C. Now don’t panic. It doesn’t mean if you have 10 sites that they are only going to list one based on what the API Faq’s say. They are looking at the results. So if you have 10 different sites, all going after different niches or themes, then you probably have nothing to worry about. However, linking within your own 10 site network probably won’t do much for you (we will get into that more with link building).

Whois or Nameservers
Now this one is interesting. Google recently became an ICANN Accredited Registrar. TDavid mentions this at Make You Go Hmm blog on Google and MSN. This leads me to believe they may in the future add this to their filter, but I don’t believe they do this already. But it sure looks like they may want to learn more so they can. But then again, maybe they will start letting you register domains with them in the future.

Multiple Class C IP Solution
This solution by far isn’t easy to get. It takes either breaking up your domains with many hosting companies, which usually cost more money or finding one that has many servers or many class C’s. This week, I was lucky enough to find a hosting company that has multiple Class C IP’s available. Not only that, they will also have muliple nameservers available.

If you are interested in getting on the priority list, contact baddog@pimpspromo.com or hit him up on ICQ if he is on your list already. Let him know how many Class C IP’s you are looking for and anything else you may require.

As soon as they have the packages setup in the next week or so, I will post the information here for everyone.

Step 6 - Building Your Free Site & Maps

If you haven’t read steps 1-5, then you can find them below:
Step 1 - Picking a domain name
Step 2 - Research the niche
Step 3 - Building your site template
Step 4 - Building Your Gallery
Step 5 - Building Picture Pages

Building The Free Part Of Your Adult Website
Again you want to start with the template we already made in the first step. On the first page you should have a warning (depending on your laws) that it is an adult site. If you can put some content up, a picture or thumbs. Even a sexy design. This is your choice. Remember to use Alt tags on any image you link to another part of your website.

Again you have the ads to other products, you can adjust the headers and the text links for them. Make them a little different to capture more keywords if you like.

Change the header (H1) text at the top of the page to Welcome them with the keyword in it. Add text content about your niche or theme, with keywords bold, or italic. Link within that text to area’s in your site. Example: This Niche is so hot, check out my Niche Gallery (link niche gallery to your gallery page).

Finally link into your main page or your gallery page.

Sitemap
Create a sitemap and keep it updated. Link to every section and page you put on your domain. If you just build galleries everyday and don’t mess with AVS sites or free sites, making a sitemap and linking to your own galleries, plus listing them again after the warning page, should keep your galleries indexed.

Product Map
If you sell products, like Joe Bucks, then make a product map for your site as well. Link to any pages you build that are just for the products. Also, link to the buy pages. So you have a link directly to your page, but then have a buy product now link as well.

Niche Map
If you have several niches on your domain. Make a map of all your niches, link to each niche. You can even seperate niche maps if you have too many.

Link to every map you build on all your pages. Link back to the main index from all page (which you already did in your template and the head image of your template ;) )

It is always good to link to internal pages within your site. If you can link to every page on every page, then do it. Thinking of it as showing even the most unfamiliar surfer (the dummy that thinks email@emailsite.com is a website), how to find things on your site. If they can find it, a bot can too.

AVS Section
Use the same concepts when building your avs section of your website. If you need a good tutorial for avs sites then check out baddog byte’s. I will most likely do an AVS in the future, but baddog has it covered.

Coming Up - Link Building and More
Soon we will go over link building. Steps to save you time and get you better links. As well as more on host crowding and avoiding Googles duplicate filter.

I highly recommend Joe Bucks. Joe Bucks Herbal Affiliate Program offering you several ways to promote their products. From text links, banner ads, and branded websites.

What is SEO? SEO Theories and Facts

We will continue the tutorials throughout the coming weeks. Don’t think I forgot ;) More steps will be coming.

SEO Defined
Many people have different definitions of what exactly search engine optimization is. Today over at Make You Go Hmm, I have posted an article defining SEO. It also takes a deeper look at what search engine optimization includes.

If you want to get ahead with search engine optimization, I highly suggest you get a copy of SEO Book!

SEO Theories and Fact
Many seo theories or questions have been floating around about if your web host, shared IP or static IP can effect your rankings in Google. Many suggest different Class C IP’s can increase your chances of optimizing successfully. But many don’t place in facts with their assumptions.

Experience Fact
A few years back when the first wave of can my website IP effect my Google rankings hit, I decided to try switching some of my websites to their own static IP.

The Effect

Within weeks all sites increased ranking positions or ranked better. Of course, that doesn’t mean these will rank now, since Google has changed and is always changing.

Fact In Print

Google API Facts: Automatic Filtering

When enabled, filtering takes the following actions:

* Near-Duplicate Content Filter = If multiple search results contain identical titles and snippets, then only one of the documents is returned.
* Host Crowding = If multiple results come from the same Web host, then only the first two are returned.

Only the first two will be returned? What does host crowding mean? Are they looking at hosts by IP’s? Or by Class of IP’s? Are they looking at it by name servers? Maybe they are doing a whois on your site? Oh no!!!

Many huff and puff saying no way. Well it is right there in print, they are filtering out somehow. Calling it “Host Crowding". They mention same web host.

What can you do? Well I suggest doing what you are capable or can do to continue getting the traffic you want for your business. Am I saying start setting sites on different hosts? Really that is completely up to you. But if you want to optimize in every way you can, you should. Also to do that you need to figure out what exactly do they mean by “Host Crowding”. The best way to do that, is to make changes, keep a log of what you did and what happens.

Why discount anything that can have an effect on your rankings? If it is an easy fix or a reasonable change, I would do it.

I highly recommend Joe Bucks. Joe Bucks Herbal Affiliate Program offering you several ways to promote their products. From text links, banner ads, and branded websites.

Step 5 - Building Picture Pages

If you haven’t read steps 1-4, then you can find them below:
Step 1 - Picking a domain name
Step 2 - Research the niche
Step 3 - Building your site template
Step 4 - Building Your Gallery

Building Picture Pages
Now that you have a great optimized gallery that you can use for TGP’s. It is time to build the picture pages. Putting your pictures in html for AVS and Free Sites is the best way for search engines. It will give your site more pages for spiders to find and index (especially for free sites).

Template
It is time to get your template page out once again. You will want to size the larger picture to fit nicely on the page. Since the template already has Joe Buck and Adult Friend Finder ads on the side and bottom, you already have some ads on the page.

Meta Tags and Text Content
After you place the larger image on the page, you will want to change the meta tags to reflect the content that is shown in the image. Put a banner and text ad on the top of the page for the sponsor you are using (Remember we already picked the niche and a site from Xpays). Bold some of the keywords in the text you write. Not all of it, just some of the important keywords.

Linking
Now link the picture to the Xpays website you are promoting (use your affiliate link). If you are building for link reasons, then link directly to Xpays. If not, you want the traffic to hit your site first, then use the no follow code in the link. Also, add alt text for the picture using text that refers to the image and the niche.

Finally add a more link under the picture (more niche keywords). Link to the Xpays website you are promoting.

Repeat
Repeat this for every picture you have in your gallery. Make each one of these pages unique to your niche. Let it reflect what the image is about and use keywords for this niche.

Gallery Page
Open up your Gallery Template. Link to the pages instead of the images. Now you have a gallery that is perfect for Free Sites and AVS sites.

I highly recommend Joe Bucks. Joe Bucks Herbal Affiliate Program offering you several ways to promote their products. From text links, banner ads, and branded websites.

Step 4 - Building Your Gallery

If you haven’t read steps 1-3, then you can find them below:
Step 1 - Picking a domain name
Step 2 - Research the niche
Step 3 - Building your site template

Building Your Gallery
First open the template page you already made. Save it as gallerytemplate. Now you need to add a table with cells for your thumbs. I usually do 4 columns and 5 rows. Merge the middle row (row 3) to make 1 long cell. Place your Header 2 Text in that area.

Many webmasters have their own style and preferences for thumb sizes and layout of thumbs on a page. This is fine, do it your way and maybe adjust some things to optimize the content for search engines by following the suggestions in this step.

Optimize Thumb Links
Place your thumbs in the top 8 cells and the bottom 8 cells. Link them like you usually do. For each thumb add some text in the alt image field, alt=Niche Keyword Phrase. Try to use your keywords, but also explain what the picture is about. Keep it short, 5-6 words if possible.

Optimize Header Text and Content Text
Now on your top header text use your main niche keyword phrase. In a cell under that, add some text about the content and sponsor. Link to the sponsor using good keyword phrases, not just their name. If you are using an SEO Friendly Affiliate Program, use the no follow link on your links to them or if your really good at link building, don’t.

Now in the middle cell, optimize that Header 2 with another good keyword phrase. Again add some text under that with information on the image content and sponsor. Link to the sponsor with good keywords like you did above.

Other Sponsor Ads
Other sponsor ads like Joebucks and Adult Friend Finders we will be putting in the side ad box and bottom ad box you made previously. Again you need to set the Header 3 text for these boxes to use keywords for these sponsors.

Instead of using regular banners or buttons with Joe Bucks. Try using images of the products for joe bucks with some text.

For Adult Friend Finders, try just text ads. Make them look like personal ads.

For both of these sponsors, do some research if you haven’t used them before. Just like we did in Step 1. This will help you decide the keywords you want to use in your ads and text links. I know most webmasters want to build as much as they can. Trust me, if you take the time to do a little research now, you will make more for your time later.

Optimized Meta Tags and Links
Now your gallery is starting to look really good. It is time to adjust your title, meta tags and header link. Change these to fit the content you have on the page. Use the keywords you just used in the page. The header link and home link should still be the main keyword you are targeting.

Gallery Complete and Optimized
Now your gallery is ready and optimized. Look through it, check your research and tweak anything you missed. I know many are thinking, this will never work for submitting to TGP’s. But this one was built for a basic template, it will be adjusted for free, tgp and avs later. If you want to use it for TGP’s, adjust it a little to work. Save it as tgpgallery and remove the extra ads.

We will go over changing it again for AVS later. But you can head over to baddog byte’s for tutorials on that now.

I highly recommend Joe Bucks. Joe Bucks Herbal Affiliate Program offering you several ways to promote their products. From text links, banner ads, and branded websites.

Step 3 - Building your site template

If you haven’t already read step 1 and step 2, you might want to do that first:
Step 1 - Picking a domain name
Step 2 - Research the niche

Building Your Website
If you don’t know html or how to use Dreamweaver (or similar program), well then you are in the wrong place. I’m not going to teach you that here ;)

You will want to come up with a design for your site. Preferable something that shows some sexy content and has room for text content. A good way for beginners to start is to make a simple header image for the top of the page. The name of the site and maybe some picture of a sexy girl (or guy, depending on the niche). Place this on the page and use the rest of the page for text and links.

Now that was pretty simple. Before you go any further, put a link on the bottom of the page. This link should be Keyword Phrase Home or just Keyword Phrase. Link that to the index page of your site. Also, link the header image you just made to the index. Put in the alt tag…alt=keyword phrase. The top and bottom do not have to be the same phrase. Similar is fine. Maybe you are promoting the MILF site from Xpays. Use MILF in one place and Mothers I’d Like to Fuck in another.

Next layout the rest of the page, put an area for pictures and/or text. Add 1-2 area’s for other ads. Maybe one on the side and one on bottom. This will be our ads for Joebucks and Adult Friend Finders.

Header Text

Once you have the layout done, you can start laying out header text. Put the words Header Text 1 (set as H1 in the font settings) right under your header image. Next put Header Text 2 (set as H2 in the font settings) in the text or picture area. Finally put Header Text 3 (set as H3 in the font settings) in the ad box on the side and ad box on the bottom of the page. Now if you don’t like the big text (which I don’t) you can pick a font and a smaller font size for these.

Meta Tags
Place your meta tags in the top of the page, just under the html tag. These will be your basic tags. Here is an example:
website meta tags

In the classification, I usually look at dmoz and find categories that my site would match. That is what I use there. First this will help you focus on what type of site you are building, second some search engines may pick this up.

Website Template
Now save this as your index page and then as temp or template.html. This will be the page we will start with on everything else we do for the site. You will adjust things on each new page you build using the template, like keywords, title, etc. But you have the basics ready when you get that far.

We will start building more tomorrow.

I highly recommend Joe Bucks. Joe Bucks Herbal Affiliate Program offering you several ways to promote their products. From text links, banner ads, and branded websites.

Step 2 - Research the niche

So you know the domain you are going to use. If you don’t please read Step 1 - Picking A Domain Name.

Researching the niche
In Step 1, you researched some keywords to help you pick out a domain. Now you need to use some of those keywords to find out what websites are listed for them. Check Google, Yahoo and MSN for each of the keywords that you are interested in using.

Click through to these sites and see how they are laid out. What type of words do they use? How much text do they use? How many sites are linking to them? How many pages on this site are indexed?

Search Engine Commands
Some search engine commands can help you with the task of finding out how many backlinks a site has and how many pages are indexed for that site. (backlinks - how many links they have pointing to the site)

Google & MSN Commands
site:domainname.com (shows the pages indexed)
link:domainname.com (shows the sites that link to it)

Yahoo Commands
domain:domainname.com (shows the pages indexed)
linkdomain:domainname.com (shows the sites that link to it)

Evaluate the research
After you know these things, you can decide on what keywords you would like to use. Just realize that if the keyword you are targeting has 25,000 links to it, it may take some time.

I never tell anyone to pick something easier to get. It just shows you how much link building you will need to do. I go for the tough ones, but target the smaller keywords at the same time. We will get to that after we go over building the site.

Remember, if someone tells you that the keyword has too much competition, that you should try something easier, just maybe they don’t want another competitor. How will you know whether or not you can do it if you don’t try?

Research Conclusion
You should now have an idea of how much link building you will need to do. Also, you can see how much content and how many pages most competitors have. You will want to try to get this many on your website. It will give you a good internal link structure. I will go over that when we start building the website.

Step 1 - Picking a domain name

Domain Name
First part of search engine optimization is your domain. Google doesn’t put much weight on this, but Yahoo still does. So you want to pick a domain that has some keywords in it that matches your niche. If you have a domain, know your niche and don’t really want to build a new domain, then you should skip this article.

Sponsors
First I look at the sponsors paysites. Xpays has many different types of paysites. You will find lesbian, hardcore, movie, gay, blowjob, MILF, teen, goth, etc. Decide which niche you are interested in promoting. This is the theme of your site.

Other sponsors like Joebucks and Adult Friend Finders are add ons. You can build very targeted sites and pages for these sponsors, but they are wonderful for any type of site you have.

Sex Pictures Pass AVS has many categories, I think 43. But go ask baddog, he may know right off the top of his head. So any niche you pick, Sex Pictures Pass should have a matching category for it. If not, baddog will get it made up if he thinks it is needed.

Keywords
To help find some good keywords you can use for your niche and new domain, you might try wordtracker if you have an account. Or you can head over to NicheBot.com (which seems to be down at the moment) and see what you can find. If neither of those work, try Digital Point’s Keyword Tool which is free.

Domain
After you pick your niche and research a little for keywords. Find a domain! Remember not to use any more then 2 hyphens (fuck-me-now). Hyphens are good with Yahoo, okay with Google.

The last thing to think about is the look of the domain name. When you have your site ranked in the top 3 listings on Google, it is nice if the domain name makes the surfer interested. You can get the #3 spot and get more clicks then #1 and #2 if you do your job now.

Domain Examples
Say Google has these sites listed in the 1-3 positions:
hot-blondes-sex.com #1
myfavoriteblondes.com #2
blondesofficialsite.com #3

Which one would you click? I know each person will have their own pick, but most will click that BlondesOfficialSite.com or Blondes-Official-Site.com. There is just something a little more special about the name, something, I don’t know “Official".

I highly recommend Joe Bucks. Joe Bucks Herbal Affiliate Program offering you several ways to promote their products. From text links, banner ads, and branded websites.

New look and SEO Website Tutorials Coming

New Adult SEO Blog Design
Today I have a new look for the blog. The goal was to match the main site a littl
